How Bloody Likely licenses case file articles, audio, and cited materials.

Bloody Likely Original Case Files

Many newer case files on Bloody Likely are original narrative syntheses researched and written by Bloody Likely from multiple cited sources, such as news reports, public records, court documents, official reports, and other reference materials.

These original case file articles are copyrighted by Bloody Likely. All rights are reserved unless a different license is shown on the specific case page.

Source materials cited in a case file remain the property of their respective owners. Facts, public records, quotations, and references may be summarized, cited, and discussed for reporting, research, commentary, and documentation.

Wikipedia-Adapted Case Files

Some legacy case files adapt material from Wikipedia and are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0).

The license notice shown on each case page controls the licensing of that case's article text. Other Bloody Likely interface elements, metadata, images, comments, app features, and audio may be separately protected.

Audio Narration

Bloody Likely audio narrations are separate audio works and features. Unless otherwise stated on a case page, audio narration is © Bloody Likely. All rights reserved.

The audio player is provided for personal streaming and listening only. Audio narration does not change the ownership of cited source materials.

Sources and Attribution

Case files include citations and source links for transparency, research, and attribution.

Citing or linking to a source does not mean Bloody Likely owns that source. Third-party articles, police reports, court records, Wikipedia pages, and other referenced materials remain the property of their respective owners.
