2000 Walisongo School Massacre

A scheduled Royal Air Maroc ATR 42 crashed into the Atlas Mountains on 21 August 1994, killing all 44 people on board. The flight departed Agadir and about ten minutes into the climb the aircraft entered a steep dive and impacted near Douar Izounine, roughly 32 kilometres north of Agadir. Investigation of the flight recorder showed the captain intentionally disconnected the autopilot and commanded the descent while the first officer issued distress calls; the official commission concluded the act was pilot suicide. The pilot, Captain Younes Khayati, was identified as the deliberate actor and the case is considered resolved.

Christine Chubbuck

A television news presenter shot herself on live broadcast during WXLT-TV's Suncoast Digest on July 15, 1974, in Sarasota, Florida. The victim, Christine Chubbuck, had struggled with long-term depression and had previously attempted an overdose; she scripted the broadcast to include a line announcing an "attempted suicide" before drawing a .38-caliber revolver and shooting herself. The station faded to black and Chubbuck was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead; the on-air recording was retained privately and its existence was later confirmed. Travis (Chimpanzee)

A 200-pound pet chimpanzee named Travis violently attacked and severely mauled 55-year-old Charla Nash on February 16, 2009, in Stamford, Connecticut, causing catastrophic facial and hand injuries and leaving her blind and disfigured.
